The Tarzan Rocks! show, performed at the Theater in the Wild, closed in January 2006 for renovations to the theater including enclosing the previous open-air seating, and preparing for a new show
opening later in the year.

Tarzan Rocks! Secrets, Trivia and Fun Facts

Tarzan Rocks!, which opened in July, 1999, is a 30 minute, 4-act live stage performance. This high-energy show is filled with a wide array of extreme stunts, aerial acts, and live music from the animated film’s soundtrack.

“Journey into the Jungle Book” was one of the opening attractions in Animal Kingdom in April,1998. It closed in April, 1999 and was later replaced by “Tarzan Rocks!”

It was based on Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book,” and the Disney animated film of the same name. “The Journey into Jungle Book” stage show used highly mobile costumed characters, known as “Humanimals,” as well as innovative puppetry to allow the characters to step right off the pages of the book an into this fun, lively, 30-minute stage show.
