Listen to the Show

Walt Disney World Rumor Mill, Top 10 Sounds from Walt Disney World, Listener Email and more!

Hello everybody and welcome once again to The WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello and this, my friends, is show #87 for the week of October 5, 2008.

I’ll start off this week with a brief trip to the Walt Disney World Rumor Mill, before Tim Foster joins me for another Top 10 segment. This week, we’ll look at our Top 10 Sounds from Walt Disney World, and we’ll also talk a little bit about the upcoming first issue of Celebrations Magazine.

The email inbox has really been filling up, so I’ll answer a number of your emails with Beci Mankhen from MouseFan Travel. Topics include everything from what may happen to the Cinderella Castle Suite in 2009, to the best places outside the parks to watch fireworks, when resort discounts may be announced, the Haunted Mansion’s 999 Happy Haunts Event and more.

As always, please stay tuned at the end of the show for more information and announcements, as well as your voicemails, but for now, just sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode of the WDW Radio Show.

My favorite sound is “Tapestry of Nations” playing in the background at EPCOT at night in the World Showcase exiting the park. Love seeing EPCOT at night, with that music playing.

It will always leave a special feeling in my heart, and how we like to end an awesome vacation.

Yeah, I found Tim’s comment about the Shootn’ Arcade “laser rifles” to be a real side splitter. Was thinking the same thing Lou! Too funny. Had visions of Buzz Lightyear in my head. LOL!!! The sounds of Main Street U.S.A. let me know I’m home. Usually like to start AND finish our visit there. The train whistle (or whatever kind of whistle is was) that used to make you jump out of your seat on Figment. If you knew it was coming, it wasn’t as bad. But was fun to hear others scream when it went off! I too really enjoy the ambient sounds in the parks. Lets me know I’m home. Thanks again, for another super show, Lou!!!

I really LOVED this show; the top sounds in WDW was a great idea! I know what you mean about the Wedway People Mover click clack sound; and I miss that spiel on this attraction before the 2009 refurbishment; ahhh I miss it so! Parenthetically, it was great! LOL (thank you, Tim, for the SAT words). Thank you for putting in the background music and sound effects; perfection. Kari *o*
