Listen to the Show

Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #189 for the week of September 26, 2010.

I just returned from Destination D, the D23 event celebrating the 55th anniversary of Disneyland. This two day event took guests on a journey through the design, creation, debut and history of the world’s first Disney theme park through presentations, panels, screenings, speakers, Disney Legends, a scavenger hunt and even a concert of memorable songs from the Disneyland Resort. On this week’s roundtable, we’ll recap the events, discussing our expectations, surprises, reviews and memories. We’ll then look towards what is coming next for D23 in Walt Disney World and at next year’s Expo.

I’ll have a few announcements and then play more of your voicemails at the end of the show. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!

Destination D was truly a revolutionizing event for me. I have never really gone to an event on this scale and yes, it was definently an event for the more hardcore Disney fans. I am glad I did not bring my kids or my wife because they are not the hardcore fans I am and would have definently gotten bored. For me, I enjoyed everything but the highlight was definently the THursday night VIP viewing of World Of Color and the surpirses that followed. Though I was too shy to say hi, Beci and Lou were awesome hosts and made the evening truly memorable. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store! =)
