Best Walt Disney World Restaurants for Families with Children

Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #211 for the week of February 27, 2011.

For years I have spoken about how Walt Disney World offers dining options for every palate, budget and type of experience one might seek. One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is about which of those choices are best suited to children and families. So this week, we’ll look just that – the Best of the Best Restaurants for families with young children. Don’t have any kids? Don’t worry – I think you’ll find some options in here that, like Walt Disney World itself, brings out the kid in all of us.

I’ll have a few announcements and then play more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!

For me, this podcast could not have been any better timed or themed. Lou and Chuck absolutely nailed what I’d been having a headache over for the last month – planning two weeks worth of meals for our first trip to the world (well, first for my family and my first trip since 1999!! Not the worst thing to worry about, I know!). Really looking forward to our trip now and can relax……as long as I remember to keep this episode on my ipod when we go!!!!

Our boys are now 16 and almost 19 (who’s in college); so the days of eating where children like to eat have passed us by. They now eat like us, so the price of going out for meals has gone up considerably! However, we do always enjoy dining with our boys these days, since this usually offers the best time for us to have conversations with them. Miss the years of taking them to all the fun places at the parks for character meals, etc. Looking forward to the day when they are old enough, where the DO want to go back and relive their childhood meals. Didn’t think I would ever say this, but I’m actually looking forward to being a grandparent some day. Can’t wait to take my grandchildren to the parks, so I can experience those priceless expressions on a young child’s face all over again. Thanks again for another spectacular show, Lou!!!
