While October 1 represents the anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, it also represents the continuation of a special effort on the part of the WDW Radio community: to help children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to experience the magic of a Disney vacation.

To date, the Dream Team Project has raised over $100,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, though our work has just begun.  With this special anniversary upon us, we have assembled 40 different gifts and experiences for you to bid on, as a way of celebrating the Disney spirit.  One hundred percent of the proceeds will be given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Our auction will begin at 7AM Saturday October 1 and continue through until 11PM Sunday October 2.  In advance of that, we wanted to give you all a brief peek at the items and experiences up for auction.  Please consider supporting our efforts.  “Because you can’t smile on the outside without feeling better on the inside”

  3. OMG soooo many things I want to bid on – soooo excited!

  4. Seems to be alot of meals with Lou – coincidence? I think not!! Wish I lived closer so I could bid on one of the experiences. That would be such a blast!

  5. I am very interested to know what is in the club 33 package

  6. I think this is absolutely awesome! Many great items for an even greater cause…

I just want to clarify one thing, as a parent of a wish child.. you don’t have to be “terminally ill” to receive a wish, Make-a-Wish actually grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, & there is a big distinction between the two.

I would hate for a child who has received a wish to read that Make-a-Wish is only for terminally ill children and think that their caregivers are holding out info on their condition.

Thanks for all you do Lou, it really is an amazing organization for everybody to be involved with.
