1. Even though I’m not a regular Disney channel viewer (except for Phineas and Ferb of course) I think special appearance days with live Disney characters/actors from Disney channel would be a huge attendance draw.
2. Character actors are very aware of what parts they can and cannot play. Not everyone can portray the ingénue or hero.
3. I love the idea of the Pirate’s Lair!! I understand there are a lot of Disney fans who are in favor of the classics, but Walt’s visions for his parks were to keep evolving. The Pirate’s Lair sounds like so much fun.
4. I don’t think I would see Disneyland’s Tom Sawyer’s Island any differently because it has changed dramatically from Walt’s original version. I associate the island, now Pirate’s Lair, more with the Imagineers than with Walt Disney.
5. I don’t know if it would be a good idea to have a show presented in the park. I can only imagine the actual filming of the show to be a logistical nightmare, possibly infringing on the Guests and overall show of the theme park.
6. The Fountain of Nations. Is one title more correct that the other?
7. Yes, I did!!
8. Finally built a version of EPCOT.
9. I’ve heard of his passion for Disney before. I guess I never thought of it as anything “different” since I’ve been very passionate about Disney (the man and the company) since a very young age.
10. I really don’t know. I guess I always like Captain EO since to me Michael Jackson was an entertainer (singer/dancer). But then again, I was very young when I first saw Captain EO – so my first impression of thinking it was great has always stuck with me!
11. I was shocked not only by how far over budget Captain EO went but also all the struggles!! I’m also surprised they were able to piece together a film. What I found most interesting was Captain EO was meant to be a real film opposed to a long music video which I always thought it was.
**Do you think Disney ever made back the money spent on Captain EO?
12. I think they are genuinely good ideas. The fact that they originated with Walt Disney is icing on the cake.

Hi All,
I really enjoyed Jim's book, even highlighting and bookmarking some of the sections! I especially appreciated the information on pages 280-281 regarding Walt seeking sponsorships for the One Nation Under God exhibit for the NY World's Fair. This inspired me as I seek sponsorships for my positive local news program here in Houston every day. The Disney brothers have been a source of inspiration and encouragment more than anyone else in my project - Christina Maxwell, Executive Producer for Positively Houston News
