Last night’s WDW Radio Newscast was SUCH fun!  Disney Principal Character Artist Brian Blackmore joined The Box and offered a fabulous tutorial on drawing our favorite mouse. We even saw Lou demonstrate his artistic flair!!

If you weren’t able to join us, you can watch here, and learn how to draw Mickey from the expert!

I saw many people proudly posting their sketches on Facebook after last night’s show and thought it would be fun to see what everyone was able to pull together!  If you sketched Mickey with us (or if you try after watching the video), please snap a picture of it and send to me at Christy@WDWRadio.com.

Please include your name and Box Person moniker.  If you are under 18, please have a parent email your picture with your first name ONLY and your age.

We will feature the drawings on the blog and have some other fun surprises!  Please send your picture no later than Thursday May 10.

We look forward to seeing the talented efforts of the Box People!

This was the BEST! My nieces watched the show for the first time with my sister. My 13 year old niece can’t wait to work at Disney someday and draw (she decided this at age 9). They loved this! Thank you Mr. Blackmore! I can’t wait to have you back sometime and do this again! My niece has one question since she just had Career Day a couple of weeks ago. At her age, what can she do to works towards her dream of working at WDW drawing for a careet besides to keep drawing?
Thank you both again! Awesome experience paid forward to the youth!

  5. Absolutely loved this newscast! The talented group at DDG are an inspiration to me. I’m in the field of animation but would love to work with them some day as a character artist. Thats a Disney dream of mine! 🙂
