One that I never got to visit, but have done many research on is River Country!!If any of you got to go to the first Disney water park, please give me some info on what it was like!!!

20k Leagues frightened me when I rode it as a 4 y/o in 1979 or 80…but it was ‘meh’ to me when I rode it as a teen. Still, it was well done and regret my kids will never experience it.

Thanks for mentioning the Welch’s drinks!! OMG I remember loving those things, but couldn’t remember where they were from! Now I know!

I miss Mr. Toads Wild Ride, I remember riding it as a kid and I want to ride it again so bad, it just sucks that its gone, also the skyway to fantasyland, they just remind me of my childhood and I wish they were still around.

Mr. Toad for sure! Not that I don’t just love Pooh…bu Mr. Toad was just so cool. Also, Skyway, and 20,000.

I wasn’t born yet during opening day, in fact my first trip wasn’t until 1978 as a 4 year old. But I’d bring back Toad, the original Pirates, the new one is good, it’s just not as good. EPCOT, the original Journey, World of Motion and Horizons.

I’m not sure, counselor, if this was there on opening day, but I remember a shop *in* the castle that sold medieval knights stuff like real swords. I got a small plastic figurine of a full set of armor there that I had for quite a while (but alas no more). I know it’s probably cliche, but I was hoping you guys would mention it. It’s another example of shops selling things that would be out of place today.

I miss Mr. Toad but I would be most excited if they brought back the original Journey Into Imagination! The new versions just don’t cut it! Loved the article on Figment and the Dreamfinder in Celebrations Magazine by the way!

I do miss Mr. Toads Wild and 20,000 Leagues.
My first trip down with my family 1974 and a women passed out in line for 20,000 Leagues and she was passed over head to the back of line to the paramedics.
That was a weird time.
