We are all eagerly awaiting the amazing WDW Radio Cruise 2.0 in November. While many of us “big kids” are able to get to know one another through live chats, blog posts, and the forums, many of the children and teens who are coming along on the cruise don’t have that same opportunity: to get to know their cruise-mates!
While we ARE planning a pre-cruise kids and teens meet in EPCOT the day before the cruise, we want our younger fans to have a chance to make some friends before the cruise!
At the suggestion of WDW Radio family member and Cruise 2.0 Cruiser Amy Cashman (thanks, Amy!!), we are coordinating a WDW Radio Kids & Teens Penpal Exchange in preparation for the cruise. If you will be joining us on the cruise and are bringing along kids or teens, please consider participating!
Here is the idea: We will collect names and contact information now through the first week of July. On or about July 10, we will send participating kids and teens the name and contact information of another kid/teen who will be on the cruise as well. The goal, then, will be for the two to send notes over the summer and get to know one another in advance of the cruise. We hope this will help the kids to feel they are “amongst friends” as much as we will!
If you are interested in having your child/teen participate, please EMAIL (do NOT post contact information in the comments to the blog) the following information to Christy@WDWRadio.com by July 7, 2012:
1) Child/Teen’s name and gender
3) Mailing address (we would like the first communication to be done via “snail mail.” If your child has email and wants to communicate that way afterwards, we leave that to the respective parents’ discretion.)
4) Favorite Disney character
5) Favorite Disney attraction
We will do our best to match similar age/genders/interests. We are also looking into the possibility of other activities for our younger fans…. more details to come closer to the cruise.
Lou always says WDW Radio is a family. We thank our family member Amy for helping us to extend the feeling of family to the younger set as well!
