I could have stayed in there all day watching the demonstrations, but the masks freaked me out, even at 10 years old. So I actually enjoyed the magic shop in Fantasyland more because it wasn't as spooky to me. (It was located where Sir Mickey's is now located.)

Growing up in California, my childhood memories are of the Main St. Magic Shop in Disneyland (thankfully, it's still there). My favorite purchase? The Electric Deck -- that pack of cards tied together so you can cascade them from one hand to another!

Knott's Berry Farm also had a first-rate magic selection back then in the shops outside the park gate. I bought the Linking Rings there!

Kids instinctively know what's cool. That's all there is to it!

I remember going there once as a child. I got a fake granite rock made from foam. It looked so real and was as big as my head. I used to tell people i got it from the rocks around the castle and toss it to them. They would freak out trying to get out of the way or catch it only to find out that it was light as a feather !!! Loved that Shop !!!
