So many of us have become addicted to Pinterest.  There are countless amazing crafts, recipes, outfits, quotes…. and of course DISNEY images to collect and look back upon!!  Lou Mongello has a GREAT Pinterest board, filled with links to video, blogs, podcasts and exclusive Pinterest content.

For those of you who are uninitiated to the addictive quality that is Pinterest, here is a brief description.  Pinterest is a virtual bulletin board, where you can save–or “pin”– images of great crafts, recipes, quotations, and other unique ideas so you can refer back to them at a later date.

In addition to being a source of important Walt Disney World information, we want Lou’s Pinterest board to highlight the amazing talents and creativity of the WDW Radio family.  And so, we are pleased to debut the “PINspiring Disney” contest to help us all channel our inner crafter and share the Disney magic with the Pinterest community.

We will launch a different contest each month.  Sometimes, the challenges will be based on a pin we see on Pinterest.  Sometimes, they will be unique craft ideas.  Regardless, we want YOU to try them out!  All the ideas we receive will be posted to Lou’s Pinterest page, and one talented reader also will receive a WDW Radio prize package!

In our inaugural PINspiring Disney contest, we are asking you to create a Disney-inspired bank or coin jar to collect that change you are saving for use on the next Disney vacation.   The sky is the limit, and KIDS–you should join in the fun!

Please send ONE photo of your creative and DISNEY-inspired coin jar or bank to Christy@WDWRadio.com no later than August 31.  If you believe directions are necessary to accompany your project, please also attach a brief document to explain how you created your project. At that time, all images will be pinned to Lou’s Pinterest board an a winner will be chosen.

So, get crafting, friends!  We look forward to seeing your creations and being PINspired.  If you have any questions about the project, please email Christy@WDWRadio.com

  1. We just use a popcorn bucket from Walt Disney World. .

That’s a great idea, Heather. I like that more than the multi-purposed cashew jar I am currently using. :) I’m hoping to be inspired by the very creative WDW Radio family!

  3. We use a Toy Story piggy bank with Woody and Bullseye, but that doesn’t count because we didn’t make it.

  4. OOOooo I’ll have to do this!
