I love reading everyones thoughts and ideas.
My family love Disney, but sometimes I think I drive them a litttle crazy, with all my talk about WDW.

Wish I could go this Dec., Dick Van Dyke will be reading Candle Light Prosessional.

Mary C– I agree that cool weather is a huge plus, and really there’s never a bad time to visit Disney!

Sue– I’ll be in WDW this November as well and am really looking forward to being able to enjoy the cooler weather and see the Christmas decorations!

Sheila– It can get busy during the cheer competitions, but I’m glad you guys had such a good time in December! I love the free dining plan options!

Shirley Frykman– One of my favorite parts about visiting during the fall is getting to experience the Food & Wine Festival as well!

Kira– I hope you have a great time with pleasant weather in January!!

I’m planning my first trip (as an adult) during the last week of January. I completely agree that the things i care most about are weather and crowd levels. In January the average day in Florida is far warmer than it is where I live. i’ve never been uncomfortable at Disney parks in the cold ( not the same in the heat.) i managed to fit my trip in between MLK and valentines day and the expected crowd level are totally worth the sweater i may need.

I love going in the fall, especially during the food and wine festival. I also love going in the spring during the flower and garden show. I love those times a year because usually lines are not long and it just isn’t as crowded since school has started. BUT ANYTIME IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT WDW.

We just went this past Dec. We took the kids out of school and went the 1st week. The BEST time ever. Free dining plan, NO lines, Christmas decorations were up, and I was in WDW with my husband and kids. (offering to let your kids skip a few days of school, great way to bribe them to maintain A’s and B’s.)
The busiest time we ever went was during March and cheer competition was going on. Still had a GREAT time, lines were just longer.

The worst visit we ever, ever had was on a Columbus Day weekend, due to the extreme heat and huge crowds. Never again! Castmembers have told me that the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving are the best, with cooler weather as well as smaller crowds since Christmas break hasn’t started yet. Bonus–all the holiday decorations will be up! So that’s when I’m going this year. I’ll let you know!

Love the off season visits. The cooler weather is such a plus. One Labor Day visit was so uncrowded that we were able to ride Peter Pan over and over without any line . However ANY time is the perfect time to visit Disney.
