Jen Tremley - Those characters are really hard to find. It's interesting that you saw Br'er Rabbit in Epcot and not in the Magic Kingdom. As for Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear I have pictures of meeting them as they wandered through Frontierland, closer to Country Bear Jamboree than Splash Mountain. However that was at least eight years ago. I haven't seen them at all in recent years.

Yes Splash Mountain is my favorite mountain and I like to get wet. This is a great attraction. From start to finish, the theming and the details are just amazing and it features 3 of my favorite characters Brer Fox, Bret Bear, and Brer Rabbit which was elusive to find as meet & greets. I ran into Brer Fox last Sept at Epcot at the International Gateway which was awesome! I am still trying to find Brer Bear & Brer Rabbit for my autograph and picture....

Great blog on one of my favorite rides at any Disney park. I usually don't mind getting wet on this ride since that's part of the fun. However back in Dec 2010 my niece and I thought it had warmed up enough to take a chance during the Christmas party. What I didn't expect was that while we were waiting at the base of the first hill, we would get completely drenched by the splash from another log! Actually I think it was water cannon that augments that actual splash caused by the log. It just so happened that we were right in the path of the water. The rest of the log was filled from teenage girls from Japan who were delighted by this unexpected deluge. We've been back since then and it looks like they toned down those cannons since then, but let's just say that the gift shop doesn't stock towels and shirts for nothing.
