I got shivers up my spin when Brian told the story of Joe Rohde bringing the lion into the board meeting. Great stuff.

I also LOVE the portion of the attraction when the African music comes on. Definitely one of the those feel good Walt Disney World moments every time.

I just listened to this podcast today and I loved how you and Ryan called yourself "Nerds" for your favorite part of Kilimanjaro Safaris as being the music. You can include me in that "Nerd" group as well! My favorite part of that attraction is the music as well! My second favorite part of Kilimanjaro Safaris is the Elephant portion. The last time I was at WDW was in March 2012 and the day my fiance and I went to Animal Kingdom (he proposed later that night at Magic Kingdom!) it was pouring rain all day long! We went on the Safaris as soon as we got to the park and since it was raining, not many people were in the park and waiting in line for that ride, so we got an entire safari truck to ourselves! When we got to the Elephant portion, one of the new baby Elephants was playing around in their "watering-hole" and having the time of his life. Since the safari truck behind us was a ways back, we got to spend some extra time watching the Elephants and I have the cutest video of the baby playing in the water and the rain. It makes for a priceless memory. I bet people who spend all that money to go see Elephants in Africa don't get to see what I saw!! I love your podcasts and look forward to your latest one every week! Keep up the amazing work for all of us "Disney Nerds"! :)

20,000 Leagues under the Sea is one of my most vivid memories of the parks. The 1st time I remember going was when I was 4 and I was overly excited that they had REAL Mermaids and that I got to see them in person. My family used to go every February and I remember at age 8 looking at my porthole wondering why they had replace the real mermaids and octopus (or squid as it is actually) with animatronics, or dolls. I will remember that feeling forever, realizing I was growing up and the real world was not "real mermaids". This is why it has been so important to me to make sure my kids both experience all of Disney magic while it is all still "Real".
