  1. Corey says:

We are huge Wilderness Lodge fans so we eat here at least once every trip. Whispering Canyon is fun, the food isn’t bad at all (love the barbecue) and the wait staff is always a treat to deal with. We always, even though we have done it a hundred times, always ask for the ketchup. My favorite thing though is the horsey races. I love to watch the kids get into it!

  2. Pam says:

We went there for dinner on Christmas Eve based on recommendations from friends. It wasn’t for us. The food was terrible as was the service. I am sure part of the problem was the timing — Christmas Eve around 6:00 — so the place was packed. I also think it was a poor choice for us as Christmas Eve dinner for us is a more formal meal. But even taking these two things into consideration it was unimpressive. We won’t go back.

  3. Ben says:

My whole family and I are all huge Wilderness Lodge fans so we love dinner here at least once a visit. I love the skillet for dinner. It’s great for sharing.

Wonderful review (and great pictures)! We have eaten at the Whispering Canyon Café on almost every trip since 2003 b/c: we have to visit our favorite resort even if we’re staying elsewhere on property; we love the food which is true comfort food to us; and we LOVE all the crazy antics! My husband, in particular, likes to get into trouble LOL He has sung “YMCA” with the waitstaff and played a grizzly bear not long ago. He is always given the 1/2 gallon “glass” for his ice tea since he is so thirsty. My girls and I get a kick out of seeing him act so silly and we love asking for ketchup 😉 We’ll be eating at WCC during Easter break and are hoping that the recent menu changes will not be a disappointment. Thanks again for a great podcast (as usual!)

  5. Florence Porter says:

Love the Whispering Canyon cafe. I have wonderful memories of when I brought my boys there in 2007. My youngest got in on the fun and was in the parade twirling the napkin.
Loved this podcast, it brought me back to that day!!!
Just a correction for you, Lou… they are “Ball” canning jars, not Bell. I’m sensitive to that as I work for Ball Aerospace, part of the Ball Corporation who made those jars for over 100 years. 🙂 That division has since been sold, but the Ball name remains.

  6. FrankVC says:

We definitely had a great breakfast.

Shout out to my wife and son. Next time we will be there together!

  7. Al Parr says:

We went to Whispering Canyon for a dinner meal. The meal was fine. The noise level was pretty high for a “Whispering Canyon.” We did not have children with us but we will return with our grandchildren some day. The lodge and the cafe are well worth a visit.

  8. C Adams says:

We had a fantastic breakfast at Whispering Canyon with my parents, my children and my brother. Our waiter, Rafael, was incredible. So incredible that we left a generous tip, my brother slipped him an extra $20, and when we realized that in addition to the tip we added, the 18% gratuity for large parties had already been included, we laughed and said Rafael totally earned it! He put my son in jail, moved my daughter to someone else’s table, called the kids back to get drinks or help at the register. Two years later, we still laugh about the whole experience. After dozens of Disney visits over many years, this experience stands out as a highlight.

  9. Jean Sense says:

We always go to WHISPERING CANYON for at least one breakfast and a trip to Disney is not complete without it. If we have a 1 st time visitor we always have them order catchup and watch their reactions. Would love to do the horse race but have just as much fun watching children have a really fun time !!!!Food is great, staff is the best and lives up to magic of Disney. Great way to start the day.

  10. Troy Garner says:

As DVC members and this is our Home resort we always eat at the Whispering Canyon. The food is always good as are the staff. The kids love the entertainment and even though we always tell our kids not to ask for the ketchup, they get that little look in their eyes and do. Great fun for all.

  11. Chuck Zitta says:

Sidetrack Sue was awesome! So did you purposely butcher her name or did you really not remember it? Either way, it was hilarious! LOL!!!

And yes sir indeedy, we have dined at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. You talk about large drinks – even the waters are HUGE. Don’t want to spoil it for others, but Sidetrack Sue was right. You will need a FastPass for the restroom if you drink what they bring you! As I recall, my oldest son had a shake or root beer float? I think he went into an ice cream sugar coma after taking on that bad boy. And the whole ketchup thing is a riot! What a great time, and I think, one of the best meals/experiences we had our last trip down. It’s the perfect place to dine if you’re spending the day at the Magic Kingdom. It’s only a boat ride away!

Thanks again for a hilariously appetizing show, Lou, Frank and Sidecar Sally? (LOL!!!!!!!!!)

We had a blast. Only out done by the Misner’s lounger review. Make sure to listen all the way to the end of the podcast.
