TIPS LOGOStaying at a Disney resort has many advantages.

One of my favorite perks they provide is Extra Magic Hours which allows resort guests to enjoy extended hours to a different park each day of the week.

Depending on the park Disney has chosen that day, resort guests are allowed to enter the park up to an hour prior to regular opening time and stay up to 2 hours after regular closing time.

All you need is a valid park ticket and Resort ID. (My family had both on one card we received at our resort.)

Upon your arrival, make sure to check the Extra Magic Hours schedule as it is subject to change without notice.

Here is a link to all of the resorts that provide Extra Magic Hours (per disneyworld.com):

I don’t know about you but I enjoy every opportunity I get to spend to spend in the parks!

Have any of you taken advantage of Extra Magic Hours? If so, what were your thoughts and experiences like?

  1. On some occasions, the extra magic hours have made a park more crowded, so I’ll head to a different park, figuring it will have less people there. I don’t know if my theory is correct or not, but it makes sense in my head.
I have definitely enjoyed staying late at the Magic Kingdom, enjoying the ambiance, feeling like I’m up past my bedtime.

  2. MK after hours is GREAT…once rode Pirates and Space Mountain three times EACH in roughly an hour…one of the best nights of my life…
