As of August 13, I have officially been writing for WDW Radio for an entire year! I know I am a few weeks late, but I wanted to dedicate a post to this occasion and share what this year has meant to me.
The last year of my life personally has been a huge struggle. My family has been through a lot, and it’s definitely been a stressful year. Despite this fact, I have found a community of friends who feel more like family in WDW Radio. Every week I not only get to share my love of Disney through blog articles, I get to interact with some of the most wonderful people through comments on the blog, reading other posts, and watching the live show every Wednesday night. When I initially started blogging, I knew that WDW Radio had a ton of Box People and community members, but I was so pleasantly taken aback at how everyone welcomed me with open arms into the community and shared their own love for Disney with me.
I’ve been very blessed in the last year to find a new family here at WDW Radio, and I hope to keep supplying you with doses of Disney magic through my posts for quite some time to come. I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of my favorite posts from ‘Disney From The Twenty Something’ in a celebration together!
My Very First Post – My introductory post to the blog was so hard to write as I had to be concise and fit 24 years of Disney love into a few paragraphs!
Memories of EPCOT – This post was in honor of Epcot’s 30th anniversary and gave me the always welcome opportunity of reminiscing about the good old days of Figment and Dreamfinder.
I Just Got Back From Disney – What’s better than a trip report? This one features Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the Food & Wine Festival, and a sneak preview of New Fantasyland.
Growing Up Disney – This is by far my favorite post from the last year. I was able to talk about so many of the little Disney touches that made my childhood magical, and it brought back such wonderful memories that I hope helped to bring back a few of your own.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – This post was one of the most entertaining to write as there is such an abundance of detail throughout this attraction, and I loved sharing the details that I knew with everyone.
Music From The Parks – This post was also a lot of fun to put together as I got to share some of the music that is constantly playing in the background on my computer. A little Disney music can go a long way in helping to ease the pain of those ‘I’m between Disney vacations’ blues.
So there you have my favorite posts from this past year at WDW Radio. I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who has been reading my posts and everyone who has made me feel so incredibly welcome in this wonderful Disney family. A special thank you also to Christy who has been in many ways my own personal Tinkerbell in the last year- sprinkling pixie dust and making the magic happen. Thank you all!
Here’s to many more years to come!
Caitlin Corsello was born and raised in New York. She graduated from Adelphi University with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. Her love for Disney started as an infant and has continued to grow with family vacations to Disney parks almost every year since. She holds a particular interest in WDW’s parks and attractions, never passing up an opportunity to visit. She looks forward to continuing to explore and learn about all things Disney and to share that passion with readers.[shareaholic app="recommendations" id="5099596"]
