Just like Disney and crafting, wine is a bit of a hobby of mine. I’m also pretty sentimental. So, I have a huge collection of corks at any given time and I’ve employed a lot of vases to contain them. But this bulletin “board” is a super, super easy craft that is not only “practical”, memories of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will now be a decor staple.
Grab your corks and let’s get started, together!
- 22 Wine Corks (or customize this for as long or as short a “board” as you like)
- 1 Spool of Disney Themed Grosgrain Ribbon (the wider, the better)
- Tacky Glue or Hot Glue
- Thumb Tacks
Run a piece of your Disney themed ribbon, design side up, across your craft space. This can be as long as you like. Next, like up your wine corks vertically, as close together as possible (like in the photo), before gluing down. Rearrange as you like. Then glue the corks side by side onto the ribbon, making sure you leave plenty of room on the ends of the ribbon to tack to your wall. Make sure the glue dries thoroughly before you fasten to your wall.
The wider the ribbon, the more taut or slack you can secure to the wall. If you have a lot of corks, try making several strips of these wine cork “boards” and arrange them across the wall however you like.
Take your favorite photos or festival reminders, secure with thumb tacks and you’re all set.
Enjoy your day and craft away!
~These also make a nice table runner for a causal dinner!
