Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show – Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #342 for the week of November 10, 2013.

I just returned from our WDW Radio Cruise on the Disney Fantasy with so much to share from an amazing week at sea. This week, I have audio from my on-stage, sit down conversation with my special guest, author Ridley Pearson. But as a surprise to me, Ridley turns the tables and interviews me, and we both take questions from the audience as well. Stay tuned for additional coverage, videos, photos and more in the coming weeks on the show and on the WDW Radio blog and Facebook page.

I’ll have the answer to our last Walt Disney World Trivia Question of the Week, and pose a new challenge for your chance to win a Disney prize package.

Stay tuned as I’ll have some updates and announcements including information about our next WDW Radio Cruise and Summer 2014 event, as well as more of your voicemails at the end of the show. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this week’s episode of the WDW Radio Show.

Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!

  1. This was one of my favorite podcasts, Lou! Thanks for letting Ridley turn the table on you. :-D

  2. Maybe it’s my computer, but I couldn’t hear a thing after the intro…if I turned my computer volume all the way up I could barely hear some voices but couldn’t make them out. Anyone else have this issue?

  3. I’m having the same problem! :(

  4. Yes me too, after the intro I can barely make out voices I was listening through my iPhone. It sounded like they were underwater. I haven’t tried it on my computer.

  5. I’ve read ALL of the Kingdom Keepers books, and anxiously await the next. I follow Ridley on Twitter, to make sure I don’t miss anything! Same with the Peter and the Starcatchers series! Thanks, Lou, for giving us the heads up on these books long ago!

  6. I turned on the podcast while transporting kiddos to swim practice, and they all LOVED the podcast. One kiddo stated their BFF was reading the Starcatchers and was impressed that Ridley was associated with it. All kiddos had read all the Kingdom Keeper books, and we took a poll with Ridley on future books based on current characters or on Disney sites… of course, half and half were the results just as Ridley has experienced… enjoyed learning about you, Lou. tons of questions answered I had always wondered. Love your show. Keep it up!

  7. Becky Manion says:

Great show – unexpected turn of events eh Lou??

  8. I couldn’t hear it either :(

  9. When I got home I pluged my iPod into my sterio, it sounded fantastic. And also on the computer sounded fine. Great show!!!!

  10. I really enjoyed getting to know more about your background and evolution, Lou, especially as I am an attorney myself (now an ALJ, fortunately). Is there a chance there will be a video of the interview?

  11. Tony McDaniel says:

My family is new to our Disney addiction & my daughter has expressed interest in Ridley’s books. Bought her the first one for Christmas & I’m guessing I’ll end up reading it soon too!

  12. Home sick today. Decided to try to listen again four months later. So, while in bed, I had my laptop right by my ear on the pillow next to me and could hear it fine if I listened carefully. Loved it, Lou! Fantastic how you life has evolved. And loved hearing about Ridley’s history too.
