AdventureUpon arriving at the Orlando International Airport for your vacation, Disney makes sure you are taken care of the second you step off the plane.

Depending on which Walt Disney World Resort hotel you are staying at, guests have the opportunity to receive complimentary airport transportation service.

If you book a reservation prior to your arrival, Disney’s Magical Express Transportation will take you to and from the airport directly to the front of your hotel.

Once off the plane, guests head directly to Disney’s Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, Level 1. Here you will be directed to the bus without having to stop at baggage claim to receive your luggage.

Luggage delivery service provided by Disney’s Magical Express will handle all of the luggage from your party and deliver it directly to your hotel room within 3 hours of check-in at the resort.

This service is completely free, so make sure to call and make reservations! Don’t forget that Disney has complimentary transportation service throughout the resort as well, so this will save you money not having to rent a car from the airport!

How many of you have taken Disney’s Magical Express Transportation? Did you enjoy your experience, and would you use the service again?

  1. I am not personally a big user of the Magical Express, but I do see its appeal. One of the main reasons I shy away is that we like to make a grocery stop on the way to our Resort and also arriving with a busload of other guests can make the lobby lines a little longer. But probably the main reason we don’t use it is the long lead time on departure day. We like to stay at our resort as long as possible (often squeezing in one final visit to the parks!). Having said all that, it is free and it is a nice Disney experience to start your vacation on the ground in Orlando, so I can see the appeal. I recommend that folks keep their bags with them on the bus, as I know many firsthand experiences of lost or severely delayed baggage. That is one tip I would offer. They don’t offer anything like this service for free in Disneyland, so it’s definitely a bonus that should be appreciated.

My husband and I used the Magical Express in Nov 2011. It was great, very comfortable with the little tv screens and big seats. Our bus had people from several different resorts, so it wasn’t a busload unloading at the same time. And the check in desk was ready for us. The only down side was that our bus took a long time in leaving the airport so we almost missed our dining reservation which I thought was far enough out (we arrived at 6:00p and the reservation was at 7:30p)

We always use the Magical express! It makes us feel like our vacation starts earlier :). We were disappointed on our last few times to WDW and Disneyland because the driver didn’t put on the Disney video to watch on our way to the hotel and back to the airports. We love that silly movie! Maybe next time l speak up and ask for it.
