AdventureThe great part about Walt Disney World® is that they offer so much more than the parks themselves.

If you are an outdoors and animal lover (horses in particular), get a behind the scenes look at some of the magic that goes on inside the parks while exploring the trails of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground® at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

Once on the ranch, you can explore a wide variety of horses such as Appaloosas, Arabians, Belgians, Clydesdales, paint horses, Percherons, quarter horses, and Shetland ponies.

You can also get an exclusive look at Cinderella’s Ponies and the magical horses you see on Main Street, U.S.A.

The best part about visiting Tri-Circle-D Ranch, in my opinion, is the various trail rides you can take!

Horseback Trail Rides:

-$46 per person/45 minutes

-Perfect for beginners or intermediate riders, guests 9 years of age and up can ride through the woodlands surrounding the Resort. Be on the lookout for wildlife!

Wagon Rides:

-$8 for guests 10 years of age an up/$5 for guests 3 to 9 years of age/45 minutes

-Climb aboard an old-fashioned, horse-drawn carriage as you are guided on a tour of the Resort and Campground.

-Group consisting of 30 t0 35 guests may book wagon ride reservations up to 24-hours in advanced for $300 per hour

Carriage Rides:

-$64 per carriage/25 minutes

-Ride through the woodland and along various riverbanks as you take in the sights and sounds of the Resort and Campground

*Be sure to check out Lou’s podcast this week on an in-depth look into Tri-Circle-D Ranch as well!*

How many of you have visited Tri-Circle-D Ranch? What was your experience like and what would you suggest to those who have had the chance to visit?

Peyton is currently a student at the University of Mississippi majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in print. Growing up in Los Angeles and most recently moving to Atlanta, he has seen and experienced the best of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Making his first visit to Walt Disney World at the age of 5, he has never looked back as he entered the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
