Thanks for yet again shining the light on what a great park Animal Kingdom truly is. In fact, it vies for my favorite park (that or DHS- depending on the day :)) I love the simple beauty of it all- getting a Safari Amber (specifically made for the park) and strolling through the Majahara Jungle Trek, cooling off at the bar in Yak and Yet while enjoying the lettuce wraps and plush barstools, or taking the meandering ‘hidden’ path between Asia and Africa are just a few of my favorites. Oh, and the noodle salad at Bradley Falls kiosk (where’d the summer rolls go?!). And Dawa Bar. I could go on…

Excellent question, Carl! My lottery fantasy is to win the jackpot, then move to Disney. I would start in Disneyland than resort hop around WDW for a year. Then it’s off to Tokyo, Paris, etc. I would also sprinkle in some Disney Cruises, visits to Broadway shows and some Adventures By Disney as well. I would never have to live in the real world again! 🙂

  3. Ana K says:

When we lived in Winter Garden we used to go to AK and spend most of the day in the Dino play area and dig yard. I’d bring a book, find a place near the exit, and let the kids play. They’d be there for hours happily. Sometimes we’d also catch a Lion King show, but not always.

In response, Lou, to your question about what might be our favorite attraction at Animal Kingdom:

My husband and I JUST discovered the Finding Nemo Musical, and we were totally blown away and enchanted by it. As far as thrill rides go, Everest will always win (of course!), but the musical has definitely found its place in my heart as one of the most magical experiences at that park. 🙂

  5. Jared B says:

I really enjoyed this show. It was a lot of fun to listen to! Looking forward to buying Disney 102 when it arrives in the Kindle Store!

  6. Lisa S. (elbug10) says:

I LOVE the idea of staying at WDW for a year. But I thought I heard somewhere that there are laws against this? That you can stay for awhile but if you stay too long, you’re considered a resident and would get voting rights and Disney won’t allow that? Or is that only if you stayed at one resort and if you check out and check back into different resorts does it get around this limit?

  7. Kelly says:

Animal Kingdom is our favorite park. Favorite attraction goes between Expedition Everest and Kilamajaro Safari. We love just walking around and seeing the animals and enjoying the landscaping.

  8. Chuck Zitta says:

Speaking of being stopped on an attraction. Last time down we were stopped on Pirates in front of the “red head”. And I kid you not, we were stopped for a good 10+ minutes. They even had to turn on the lights and stop the soundtrack. Was a pretty cool experience if you ask me. Additionally, on the same trip, my older (17 at that time) son and I were stopped on the TTA right in front of the castle for about 5 minutes. Got a GREAT profile picture of him gazing out towards the hub. I think he may have been reflecting upon his childhood and all our previous visits. Kind of a “farewell” to his childhood. At least that’s how I’m gonna take it! Anyway, just wanted to share.

Always magic happening in the World…

I’d say the Lion King show is one of my favorite activities in Animal Kingdom. Love the sing-off!

Thanks again for another fantastic show, Lou and Beci!!!
