Practically Perfect Disney Crafting: Crafting AT Your Walt Disney World® Resort

Crafting AT Your Walt Disney World ResortHi Everyone! I hit the Parks pretty hard when I’m at Walt Disney World®, but, I also love just kicking back and relaxing at my Resort. And one thing I like to do there is…crafting. Did you know that the Walt Disney World® Resorts offer a wide variety of resort-themed specific crafts in their monthly activities calendars? You know, the ones they stuff in your folders at check-in? This is a great way to take time out from the Parks and take home another unique souvenir from your trip.

Here are just some of the craft offerings at a few of the Walt Disney World® Resorts:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Location: Various locations around Jambo House and Kidani Village (check Resort for details):

  • African Face Painting
  • African-Inspired Jewelry
  • Ceramics
  • Cookie Decorating (shown in my photo)
  • Inkoma Animal Stamps
  • Medallion Rubbing
  • T-Shirts

These are a part of the amazing Cultural Immersion, Culinary Exploration, and Animal and Wildlife Discovery programs at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

  • Draw Your Favorite Disney Characters (Location: children’s area next to the front desk)
  • Rotating Arts and Crafts (Location: The Big Blue Pool)

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Location: Community Hall (additional cost involved, check Resort for details):

  • Beach Balls
  • Build-A-Button
  • Ceramics
  • Character Masks
  • Flower Pots
  • Large Plush
  • Make Your Own Pillow
  • Mickey Tie Dye
  • Model Magic
  • Picture Frames
  • Shadow Boxes
  • Sippy Cups
  • Stencil T-Shirts
  • Sun Catchers
  • Tote Bags
  • Travel Mug
  • Trinket Boxes
  • Water Bottle Holders

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
Location: Meadow Swimmin’ Pool

  • Build-A-Button
  • Design Your Own Craft (additional cost involved)
  • Mickey Tie-Dye (additional cost involved)
  • Temporary Tattoos

There are also rotating arts and crafts scheduled at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, but so far, I haven’t seen too many crafts scheduled at the Moderate Resorts, so please ask the front desk at check-in.

I really enjoy these resort-themed specific crafts while I’m taking a relaxing break from the Parks. I hope you will, too. Stay tuned for more ways to craft unique souvenirs while on your Disney trips.

Enjoy your day, and craft away!

p.s. I highly recommend the Cookie Decorating at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge…even as an adult. Those cookies are delicious, too!
