Taste of Disney This week’s post is directed toward all the adults out there. Has it been a long week? Are you in need of a tropical transport? With summer right around the corner and temperatures rising, sometimes a nice cold drink is the perfect treat. One of the best little tropical places to get a drink on WDW property is the Tambu Lounge at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This week I have compiled a few popular drinks recipes for you all to try out! One of the quirkiest drinks on the list is the Backscratcher. Your glass is served with a real size backscratcher in it! Disney always finds a way to make simple things fun and different.

Cheers!

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Kristin has taken many a family vacations as a child driving 24 hrs, cramped in the back of the car and fighting with her sister to get to Disney (definitely worth it though). She looks forward to sharing “A taste of Disney” with everyone each week.

Fantastic!! I will be adding this list to our summer drinks at home. But even better I will be enjoying these at the Polynesian very shortly!!!

First, let me start by saying that I don’t drink alcohol with the exception of our first night on Disney Property. We usually have a big arrival meal and recently have been having that at ‘Ohana. While we are waiting, I get an adult beverage to celebrate my official unwind from the year’s grind.

Great article… I had one of the best piña coladas of my life there teo weeks ago… awesome!

The Lapu Lapu is literally my favorite drink in all of WDW! It’s become tradition to eat dinner at Kona Cafe on the first night of our vacation and enjoy some drinks. To me the Lapu Lapu is the official start of my trip!
