What’s your favorite memory of The Living Seas?  Do you enjoy climbing into your “clam-mobile” to visit with Nemo and Friends? Or, do you long for one more trip on a hydrolator to hitch a ride on a seacab to Seasbase Alpha?

We can’t decide either, but we both agree that spending time at the Sea Base and Caribbean Coral Reef Aquarium is a highlight!  With over 6,000 sea residents, including dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, and rays, it’s the perfect place to cool off and observe the fascinating creatures of the sea.

The first time I entered the Hydrolator (in 1977?), I thought it was real! My boyfriend and I were so confused as our left brains said, “This is impossible” but our right brains “but how did they do it?” We were so puzzled until we craned our necks and looked way up into the corners and saw the “trick”. Awesome.
