Wine Cheese & Thou

Anticipating tomorrow’s opening,  the WDW Radio Blog Team shares its reviews, thoughts and memories of the Epcot® Food and Wine Festival Presented by Chase®.

“The Epcot® Food and Wine Festival is really one of a kind.  Whether you are a foodie, enjoy new alcoholic beverages, or simply the festive atmosphere, this experience is one of a kind.  Go during the middle of the week to beat local weekend crowds and make sure you pick up a “passport” at one of the kiosks. See if you can get a stamp from every country!”

-Alex Larson (It All Started with the Carolwood Pacific)

“The Food and Wine Festival sounds absolutely perfect for those who love to experience new foods from around the world. I’ve never been, but I’d definitely love to go someday!”

-Alyssa Schulman (Animatedly Yours)

“Last December, I visited Epcot® with a first-time guest and a kind Cast Member personally toured us around all of the countries when she got off work. All she could talk about was how much she loved the Food and Wine Festival. While I have never attended, every time I see it reported I think of that Cast Member and the joy she brought to my friend’s visit.”

-Blake Taylor (Finding Disney)

“I’m counting down the days until I’m back in Epcot® nibbling on favorites like the Lamb Shank from the Australia Booth and sipping drinks while wandering through the countries. The Festival is perfect for a fun day in Epcot® – but they need to bring back the Cheese booth next year!”

Caitlin Corsello (Disney From The Twenty-Something & Self -Shot Tuesdays)

“I’ve never been to the Epcot ® Food and Wine Festival so I have to settle for drooling on my keyboard as I see all of the videos and pictures from the festival.”

-Chris Fox (Inside Jokes of WDW)

“Worth planning a vacation around. This will be our third time going. Love the Eat to the Beat series too! Some amazing acts you can’t see anywhere else!”

-Felicia & Sean (A Couple Things Disney)

“I haven’t been to the Epcot® Food and Wine Festival…yet. The thought of a celebration of international food sounds like the best thing ever, and I can’t wait until I have an opportunity to finally check it out.”

Joshua Shusterman (Military Mouse)

“Last year I attended the special event, Scotland: Land of Food and Drink,  at the World Showplace Events Pavilion.  Feasting on traditional Scottish cuisine (and yes, the haggis was delicious!), listening to music from the heart of the highlands, and a visit from Princess Merida and Queen Elinore.  What could be better?”

-Kathy & Sean (Looking for Magic)

“The Epcot ® Food and Wine Festival will always hold a special place in my list of WDW memories because my husband and I attended it for the first time while on our honeymoon and returned to celebrate our fifth anniversary.  It introduced us to so many deliciously wonderful international dishes: Polish perogies, German spaetzle, Moroccan mango mousse, Mexican pork belly, Greek griddled cheese…the list goes on and on. ”

Kendall Foreman (I Have a Craving & Know Disney?)

“I’ve never gotten the chance to experience the Food and Wine Festival yet, but I cannot wait to go! My mouth has always watered reading through the different menus and seeing what cool new items have been added each year. Last year, I especially wanted to try the Smokehouse stand and get myself a “Piggylicious Bacon Cupcake” because it sounded so unique!”

-Kristin Casagrand (Taste of Disney)

“This is one of the best events Disney puts on. The weather seems to be perfect every year along with the amazing assortment of food and drinks. Each time I attend, I always make a point to try a new dish I have never had before. Makes for a fun experience!”

Peyton Spear (Adventure Into the World of Yesterday, Tomorrow & Fantasy)

“I remember my first experience: seven years ago I literally stumbled upon the festival not knowing it would be there — some fan!   I was with my mother, aunt, and cousin;  I remember French champagne, crepes with strawberries, Irish cheese, and beer from around the world.   Ignorance truly is bliss, and it was a magical night.”

Richie McNanna (Displaced Disney Dad)

“The Epcot® International Food and Wine Festival has some new dishes being added from different countries this year! The one that looks best to me is the Seared sea scallops with spinach cheddar gratin and crispy bacon; that’s the one from Scotland.”
