Flipping the Switch on the Osborne Lights

osborne lights - disney

I am a consummate WDW fan, and as such, I typically trust Disney when they remove something in order to bring guests a new and incredible experience. However, today, Disney announced that this will be the final season for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and I cannot support its removal. Whether what is to come is amazing or not, I am heartbroken over the loss of something truly magical.

In 2010, after years of waiting to witness the glow of thousands of tiny lights, I was able to stroll down the Streets of America and experience what no camera can adequately capture. There is no way to describe the childlike wonder that comes over you as you stand in the midst of a true Christmas wonderland. It is a moment I will never forget.

Sadly, my parents and sister were unable to join us on our 2010 vacation; furthermore, my son had not yet been born. I could not be more disappointed that I will never share the joy of the Osborne Lights with them. I can just imagine how mesmerized my son would have been.
