Day 5 – The 5 Best Golden (Onion) Rings in Walt Disney World

In the spirit of the well-known song, The Twelve Days of Christmas, our writers will be counting up from 1 to 12 as we bring you a numbered, Disney-themed subject on each day leading up to Christmas.

Happy Holidays, Everyone! We hope you are enjoying the 12-Day WDW Radio Christmas Extravaganza. For this post, we are taking on the number “5” and as the song goes, “On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me 5 golden and delicious onion rings!” Well, something like that! We thought it would be fun to do a spin on the 5 golden rings and look at where to find the very best golden rings in Walt Disney World. We all love to snack around the parks, so let’s take a look at some of these top places…

We have compiled a list of our 5 favorite spots to find that perfect, golden ring.

1. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort

Here you can find large, thick cut onion rings served up crispy and brown. An order of rings will cost you about $6.99. They also come with your burger order. These rings are our #1 pick! We love the soda shop theme, too!

2. Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Known for their onion rings, you can get a large portion of rings for about $8.49 per order. These large, thick cut onion rings are also served with a side of horseradish sauce for dipping. We love the retro, drive in theme and movie, too!
3. Flame Tree Barbeque at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this popular lunch spot serves some of the best onion rings we have had. Each large portion is only $3.99 per order. We love stopping by for a BBQ lunch, but we really love the onion rings here! Ask for the spicy barbecue dipping sauce! Yummy!

4. 50’s Prime Time Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

These onion rings are fantastic! We tried the beer battered rings with a side of horseradish sauce and BBQ sauce. So good! We made sure to eat them all, because you know what happens here when you don’t clean your plate! Each order is $6.99

5. Raglan Road at Disney Springs

When you visit Raglan Road, you must try the onion rings. They are double dipped, beer battered and really out of this world! The portions are large enough to share and run about $5.00 per order. Add in the music and dancing, and it’s a real bargain!

Maureen Petrone and Pamela Rose are moms, avid Disney fans and elementary school teachers from Long Island, New York. When they are not in the “House of Mouse” with their families, they can be found in their classrooms.  They call themselves “TeachEars.” They love the thrill and wonder of the Disney experience. The educational opportunities are endless! Walt Disney was a visionary, who taught us all to think big and dream bigger. It’s a wonderful message for their students. The classroom/Disney connection is a perfect fit!  They hope to bring you some interesting blog posts about the Wonderful & Educational World of Disney.
