Columbia Harbour House is definitely a destination eatery for my family. I find myself craving the Lighthouse Sandwich between trips!

  2. Dave T says:

I am not a foodie, so it was really bizarre to hear today’s restaurant review and know exactly what you were talking about! I love Columbia Harbour House! I go there both on my solo trips and when I’m traveling to the World with my family. I’ve always loved the location and the atmosphere. My favorite place to eat is in the room that’s over the walkway between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. It’s quiet and a great place to people watch. Wait, no! You didn’t hear me saying that. Whatever you do, do not go upstairs! It’s terrible! It’s mine! It’s mine!

Thanks again for a great show, Lou!

  3. AJ says:

I visited the Columbia Harbour House the last time I visited WDW, and it was kind of a life saver. At that time, I was a pescetarian, and CHH was one of the few restaurants that had a great selection for someone in my position. Our group ended up going to the Magic Kingdom 2-3 times during that trip, and I believe we had dinner there every night. My only regret was not sampling the Lobster Roll, which apparently is something I need to do on my next excursion.

  4. I always used to go there and get the same thing… the shrimp basket (served in a red oval plastic basket with french fries), and the cherry turnover.. then always went upstairs to eat. Very nostalgic for me!

  5. Chris says:

Lou will you ever make your way to the Philadelphia area?

  6. Amber Bramble says:

I’ve never been there, don’t get to go to Disney often, but after this review Its going on my must do lists for my December trip!

  7. Chris says:

Lou, you missed my two favorite menu items. The clam chowder, and the vegetarian chili.

  8. Ed Buskirk says:

I have not had a chance to try this restaurant, but its looking like we will make it a must on our next trip. I have heard that the upstairs area is a nice place to get away and people watch. Cant wait 🙂

  9. Marnie Raimondo says:

Great review, Lou! Columbia Harbour House is a must for us! I must admit I often get the fried fish, but it’s always the perfect treat and delicious. After your review, I now realize I need to branch out – perhaps the pot pie or the lobster roll!

  10. William Bragg says:

The Columbia Harbour House just made the list…the list is getting longer, and longer.

  11. Curtis says:

Great! Now I’m starving for a Lobster Roll! Thanks, Lou!

  12. Jen M. says:

We stopped there last summer, just by chance. I can’t remember my family’s meals, but I had the lobster roll and t was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back and have another!!

  13. Andrew says:

Never knew you could get a Northeasterner approved lobster roll right inside the MK. Will definitely have to check it out next time we’re there.

  14. We ate at the Colombia Harbor House last September. I think I just went with the basic fish and chips because good fish and chips are hard to find. We enjoyed it. Looks like will be eating there again this coming September as part of Keys to the Kingdom tour. I wonder if the cobblers and flavored slushies will still be on the menu? If so I will be checking them out for sure.

  15. Ross Christiansen says:

I try to eat at the Columbia Harbor House each time I visit. I like the food (especially the clam chowder and fish and chips) and I like to eat on the second level so that I can look out of the windows at the Haunted Mansion and river area. I will have never tried a lobster roll, but now I will on my next trip.

  16. I’ve been to Columbia Harbor House many times. I tried the Seafood Mac&Cheese with the lobster & Shrimp it was really good, although they removed it from the menu. But the salmon is what I recommend with broccoli & Cuscus to make it a healthy meal. Whether it’s Liberty Square or Fantasyland from the look out the window on the second level it’s always a good site. Plus I take the time to listen to the area music.

  17. Andrew Prince says:

    Awesome show Lou and Family

  18. Scott Bergeron says:

The lobster roll is ok but its almost like you are putting it on par with a northeast roll. Im from MA and its not even in the same league. Great episode but nothing compares to a New England rolland I have had the lobster from The Harbour House lol

  19. Ben says:

    Hello Lou,
Can’t see my comment I made regarding CHH some days ago 🙁

  20. Kendall Foreman says:

Ben, we do not have a comment waiting from you in our system. It must have gotten lost somewhere in the Cloud! If you re-submit it, I will be sure it gets posted.

  21. Corinne Leon says:

    Hi Lou!

Loved this podcast! We’re heading to WDW in a couple of weeks and I think we need to add this to our list for sure! I believe you said you were going to post pictures in the Show Notes. Have you had a chance to do this? I’m really excited to see some recent pictures of the lobster roll and chicken pot pie!

Thanks for all you do, Lou! So sorry that we won’t be able to attend your meet up on August 27! That’s the day we’re leaving…. 🙁

  22. Mark Weaver says:

    Hi Lou,

We must have a lot in common. Columbia Harbor House is my fav as well (and my oldest daughter’s name is Mariana Rose!). Food is very good for the money but it is the atmosphere that makes it the best quickserve in the Magic Kingdom. Speaking of your kids. They are incredibly articulate and well spoken. Super impressed. Congrats.

  23. Chuck Zitta says:

Sorry, playing catch up as best I can. Computer at work went down 2 Friday’s ago and new one not going to hit the office until next week. Been on vacation to boot the past 6 days. Been out of sorts to say the least!

Anyway, we have never actually dined at Columbia Harbour House. Why, I’m not quite sure??? (Bow head in shame). Especially after listening to this episode. I’ve always been curious about “those people eating upstairs” when we crossed over between Fantasyland and Liberty Town Square. But, have never actually stopped in for lunch. I must say, the Lobster roll and Salmon sound pretty tasty, being I’ve been on somewhat of a casual Mediterranean diet the past year. Of course, there’s always room for pie. As in pot pie. Or any pie (or cobbler) for that matter. Lol!!! Will definitely make it a point to have lunch at the Harbour House the next trip down.

I too love the fact that is sits right across the way from the Haunted Mansion. Sounds like a spooktacular lunch to me!

Thanks again for another terrifically appetizing show, Lou, Deanna, Marian and Nicholas!!!
