For as long as I can remember I have loved listening to music, especially any Disney music. Over the years, I have purchased original motion picture soundtrack CDs for Disney movies I have seen, the Disney’s Greatest Hits collection, Disney Silly Songs, and more.
Once I started going to Walt Disney World in 2003, I decided I wanted to bring a piece of the magic home with me, so we would purchase a CD from one of the park or resort stores, especially the parade music. When I listen to the CDs, it always brings back memories from my many trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Currently, I have at least ten Disney Theme Park exclusive CD’s in my collection. They are listed below.
My favorite CDs are Circle Sessions and Dave Digs Disney. Some of the jazz and piano albums are nice to listen to, as you can hear your favorite song but not have the words going through you head all day. The hardest CD to find was Circle Sessions – The Music of Carthay Circle. During my first trip to Disneyland in 2012, I knew about this CD being available, but it was not available at the Disney’s California Adventure stores. A very helpful Cast Member gave me the phone number and website for Disney Parks Merchandising. Once we got home, I called until it was available and placed my order for the CD.
Before I had my own computer, I would listen to my Disney CDs on my Mickey Mouse CD player, which I still have because it is a Mickey Mouse collectible. I still purchase the actual physical CDs and import them to my computer and keep them for backup reasons.
Last year during a WDW Radio LIVE Wednesday night broadcast, I found out about Ricky DJTechnoid Reed, a fellow WDW Radio Live Box member. His techmixes are really fun to listen to as he mashes up various tunes with a techno beat behind them. Be sure to check his mixes out here on SoundCloud.
I hope you will look into these cd’s and start listening to them for yourself.
