Who doesn’t want some magical help in the kitchen from Mickey Mouse?!  He helps me every day in small ways, from measuring, stirring, holding beverages, making tea, cutting pizza, hiding cookies, and serving food.  I started collecting back in my younger days with a cookbook and a Mickey spoon.  Once I had a kitchen of my own, I began adding magical utensils and functional pieces to my kitchen.  I love collecting Mickey kitchen items as it is a useful collection and makes me smile every time I use an item.

It’s hard to choose just one item as a favorite.  I do love my Mickey pizza cutter and triangle pizza plates that we use every Friday for pizza night.  We actually have two pizza cutters, just in case one breaks.  The cutter and plates were purchased during visits to Walt Disney World at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

Disney Magic Kingdom plates Vanessa PrinceDuring a trip to WDW in 2015, I kept looking at the 7″ plates adorned with iconic park figures from four lands at WDW: Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Adventureland.  For Christmas that year my daughter, Lydia, ordered the set of four for me – what a nice surprise!

All of these items have been purchased either while at Walt Disney World or ordered from home from the Disney Parks App  for Apple, Google Play store or Disneystore.com and are Disney Park Authentic.  I will admit that I do have other Mickey/Disney items in the kitchen that were purchased at non-Disney stores and I like them, too.  We have a Mickey waffle maker, bowls, trays and a few other items as a part of my collection.  In a way, my collection is hidden away in cupboards and drawers, out of sight from the casual passerby.  But if you are lucky enough to be in the kitchen when we are cooking or baking, you will discover a whole hidden world of Mickey Mouse in our house.

You got me thinking about what we have and it’s a good bit more than I thought! Besides my favorite mug and the “recycled” old WDW Mickey head kids meal plates (before throw alway plates) that we love, we have; sandwich press, pancake molds, Mickey head baker, dish towel, many rapid refill mugs, souvenir cups and popcorn containers, and my favorite when baking- Mickey hand oven glove! I’ve e also peppered my moms kitchen with some baking utensils and cook books.
They do bring a smile along with memories!
    Thanks!

I have so many more items too! I love the rapid refill mugs, especially now that they have lost the handles – why? I even make specialty pancakes in Mickey and Minnie heads freehand. Also, love the refill popcorn containers from DCL. Thanks for commenting!
