Top 5 Things For Teens: Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2016

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - Ruby

Hey guys! Welcome back to my segment Top 5 Things For Teens, where I talk about my favorite Disney related topics that will be interesting to teens and or younger fans (and some adults, too)!

Last month I visited WDW, and it was, as usual, amazing! An awesome thing I got to experience multiple times that trip was the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. I had been to the event only once before when I was young, so I didn’t remember it much, but this year it was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. I wasn’t too excited about it when I first heard we were going, but I enjoyed it so much, and I can’t wait to go back again! So, today I will be telling you about my five favorite things I ordered at the Festival and some tips of mine, too!

1.     Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise (Showcase Plaza, Hawai’i)

This was my absolute favorite item from Food and Wine, I ordered it multiple times and enjoyed every single second of eating it. I get genuinely upset sometimes knowing that I can’t just drive over to Epcot and pick one up.

2. Chicken and Dumplings: Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms and Spinach (Farm Fresh, Showcase Plaza)

Every once and a while, I still think about these dumplings, that’s how good they are. I highly recommend them.

You may think this dish is just tomatoes and cheese, but they were really delicious, and I’d definitely give this a try.

4.    Ricotta and Zucchini Ravioli with Rustic Tomato Sauce (The Chew Collective, Future World West)

Like everything else on this list, these raviolis were great. I ordered them twice during my visit!

5.      Kielbasa and Potato Pierogis with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream (Poland, Between Germany and Italy)

My family and I shared this dish, so I actually only got around to eating the pierogis, but they were amazing! I wish I could eat them right now.

One of the reasons I was hesitant about going to this event was because of my peanut allergy, but it wasn’t a hassle at all. I could eat almost everything. Just ask a Cast Member about your allergy, and they will tell you what’s safe to eat.  I usually got an answer very quickly! The Festival is very good at offering options for people with various dietary needs and choices. I went with a friend who is vegetarian and there were many, many options for her!

Another great part about Food and Wine is the Chase Lounge located in the American Pavilion. If you are a Chase Card holder, then you should definitely pay a visit to the Chase Lounge, which is a life saver when the Florida heat is getting you down. The Chase Lounge provides tables and couches, bathrooms, charging stations and unlimited free drinks. I loved it, and I think you will, too.

I hope you guys enjoyed todays list and got some helpful information out of it, too! But before you leave. I have some questions for you:

Did you visit Food & Wine this year? Which items were your favorites? Tell me along with any other thoughts of yours in the comments below, I’d love to hear from you!

I hope you all get a chance to visit the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival soon. You still have time to go, the Festival runs until November 14th!

Thanks for listening and have a magical day! – Ruby 8:)
