Halloween is the Best Time for Disney Cosplay

Every day is a great day to cosplay as your favorite Disney character, but at this time of year, it’s time to scream—it’s Halloween!

Cosplay is all the rage. At this year’s D23 Expo, cosplay was center stage with imaginative fans dressed as characters from Disney films, theme park characters, and other favorites from Disney fandom.

Just so we’re all on the same page, what is cosplay? It’s a combo of the two words “costume” and “play” where fans dress up in costumes to represent a favorite character. First coined in Japan, cosplay evolved from its roots as a favorite pastime at science fiction conventions. As cosplay has grown, it has become one of the most popular and visible expressions of fan appreciation.

At Walt Disney World cosplay has no age limit and occurs 365 days per year. With Halloween on the horizon, it is the best time of year to get in the spirit and profess your passion for your favorite Disney character.
