Enjoy Quality Time at the Garden View Tea Room’s Afternoon Tea

Garden View Tea Room Afternoon Tea

Every day at the Walt Disney World Resort, young royals can experience a unique tea party just for them in the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Despite its name, the Perfectly Princess Tea experience is a memorable event for princes and princesses alike and their families. Who wouldn’t have fun at a royal tea party? Especially a party that includes dancing, storytelling, treats, and a special souvenir gift.

But at Walt Disney World, there is no age limit to the title Prince or Princess. In the Garden View Tea Room, even seasoned royal wannabes can enjoy a royal tea party! In the grand British style, you can take a break from the theme park mayhem at Afternoon Tea to leisurely sip hot tea and savor finger sandwiches and desserts. And here’s the best part — you can enjoy quality time with friends and family — and capture a special selfie or two.

Afternoon Tea takes place seven days a week from noon to [4:00] PM. Reservations can be difficult to obtain, so plan in advance. You can select from a variety of tea services for one or two people, some including wine or champagne. I chose the Bedfordshire, which included a personal pot of hot tea, a variety of finger sandwiches, berries, cheese, a scone, a jam tart, and a choice of dessert. I selected the blueberry trifle, which was elegantly presented with a stamped Grand Floridian Resort & Spa logo. The tea menu is extensive with a selection of signature teas, black teas, flavored teas, green teas, and white teas to choose from. Tea is served to each guest in a beautiful floral teapot that is covered with a quilted tea cozy.

I had the opportunity to experience Afternoon Tea twice, with an extraordinary group of ladies that I admire and cherish. The company was special as was the tea service. Thank you, Garden View Tea Room for the delightful ambience, the attention to detail, and for a relaxing and delicious adventure!
