There are many simple and easy ways to make your home videos interesting and entertaining. The tips I will be discussing take very little time or energy, but can have a big impact on how well your video is received. This article is a “how-to” list of 10 simple tips on how to elevate your home video. I hope you find them helpful. Using even just a few of these will improve the quality of your home videos at Walt Disney World.

With the exception of the first three, which I think are worth revisiting, I am not going to repeat the tips I spelled out in my very first article. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to go to the DisneyWorldTrivia.com archive at this link. It covers many basic concepts that I think are important.

Walt Disney World and Disneyland are the #1 vacation destinations for Disney fans, but they aren’t the only ones available. The cultural impact of the Disney and the Disney organization itself extends many places, and no Disney fan should limit their options to Florida or California. I live in upstate New York, and like millions [...]

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….No, I’m not talking about Christmas (although that’s wonderful too). I’m referring to the Northeast’s answer to satisfying the Disneyholics need for some pixie dust. MagicMeets was once again held this year in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, right across the river from Harrisburg. Organizer Fred Block is celebrating his [...]

A little over a year ago I wrote an article for Lou and the DisneyWorldTrivia.com website on using your camcorder in Walt Disney World. I’ve thought a lot about what I wrote since then, and I’ve decided to revisit the topic. This article, the first in a series of three, is about what I think [...]

Managing Your Vacation Expectations

Please allow me to share with you a recent conversation I had:

Dan – Hi Joe! How was your vacation to Walt Disney World?

Joe- It was great! By Thursday morning we had turbo-toured 4 parks, two times each! It was a blast!

Dan – How did the family like it?

Joe – Oh they loved it! Well, until Friday when we started fighting. On Friday my wife stole the plane tickets and went to live with her mother after calling me a control freak. The kids, after saying they hated me, ran away with their friends. Two of them have come back at least. My wife says I’m going to have to send all of them to therapy for the next 4 years, but I can pay for that easily with the money I saved by booking a week-long vacation. I think they will realize they had a great time when the therapy is over. Besides! I spent the last few days doing the touring plans another 4 times through! And I rode Star Tours 47 times! I met Mickey Mouse 24 times! …. And on… and on.

On Saturday, May 31, 2008, I had the opportunity to attend the first ever World Science Festival held at New York University. One of the headlining events of the five day festival was Saturday’s presentation of “The Science of Disney Imagineering.” To be honest, I was a little skeptical about the Festival since I don’t [...]
