    Question Spaceship Earth

    ok- Since you guys know EVERYTHING (and I do not mean that sarcasticaly...!) how did SSE get it's name? I was thinking about it the other day, and I could not come up with an answer for myself. Also, does anyone know who came up with the whole idea? I know that EPCOT was supposed to be like a future city, but the imagineers thought realistically about it and decided that it was not possible to have people living in a theme park. So they eventually collided both sets (future world and world showcase). This is all I have gotten out of my imagineering books and the travel channel . Much thanks!!

    Here's another story of Epcot (formerly EPCOT Center). It's very lengthy, but very informative.

    It starts out with Walt's vision of an actual city, but then gets to the theme park, as well. It's very, very enlightening.
