Unusual things to do while at Disney alone??

I'll be making another trip down next week with my wife's dance team. My kids will be along but will be off with their friends, so what's a lonely guy to do or see that's different from the usual?

What a good question. I am heading down solo this weekend. I will tell you, I have booked a tour! That should be fun and since you take it along with a group of people - you aren't alone!!

Legal, Schmegal, I won't have much bail money though. How do you book the tours??

I have my Travel Agent book them, but you can call Disney direct. We love the Animal Kingdom one, and you won't feel out of place if you are by yourself. A tour is really a great idea (but bail might be cheaper ).

If you enjoy the occasional adult beverage, i suggest a beers of the world tour. Drop by each EPCOT pavilion and enjoy a beverage. Take it slow though!

i would say walk around the world showcase....we just went in jan and as much as iam a patriots fan....when im in disney i dont sit around watching sports i need to get as much disney in i can before i leave. My husband stayed at the hotel with our friend and i went solo to walk around the world showcase and had a great time!

I am going by myself in two weeks. I think I will enjoy being alone, especially to just take in everything at the World Showcase.

I'll definitely be doing the World Showcase. Maybe I'll see how many "Do Not Enter" doors I can actually enter, then play dumb if I'm caught!
Thought about grabbing a bite to eat at every on-site resort also.

One Day several years ago I spent a half of one day just taking in all of the perfomances of the Voices of Liberty, another unusaul thing to do, along those same lines, would be to go around one of the parks armed with a live entertainment scedule from Steve Soares web site and take in as many different acts as possible http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

if you do something like this I urge you to consider taking along something to record some of it, perhaps you could start your own podcast, or see if Lou would like to use it on Mouse tunes (if not there are many other podcasters who like to share live entertainment audio on thier podcasts including ME!)


If that's not up your alley theres always the "drinking around the world" thing at Epcot, or if that would get too expensive, or just doesn't appeal to you you could try to get cadies from all the countries around World Showcase.


Another idea, If you colect any type of WDW related items you might want to go around to all of the various resorts and try to see if you can get one of that type of item at with each disney resort hotels logo on it, for instance I collect post cards other folks collect key chains, bells, shot glasses, oh yeah and some folks even collect pins, though I don't think you have to go to the individual resorts to get a pin for that resort as you do with some other items.


and of course there's always just going around taking ooodles of pictures to post in the forums here or in the Disney photo a day thread, or to start your own web site!
