    Not exactly WDW...

But I figured I ask anyways!

My friend had an extra credit homework assignment with a bunch of movie trivia questions. She came to me with this question, figuring I'd know it (Being the insane Disney fan that I am) but I came up with a blank. Her assignment has long been turned in, but it's been bugging me, so here it is:

What was the first Disney movie to earn an R rating?

    Help!

I'm guessing it was probably distributed under Buena Vista Pictures or something.

It wasn't under the "Disney" name

Touchstone/Disney's first R-rated film, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, came in January of 1986 ...

Another somewhat related bit of trivia. The first movie under just the Disney name to receive a rating over PG was Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest which is rated PG-13.

. . . and the first Disney animated feature to receive the PG rating was "The Black Cauldron".
