Is alcohol sold in the park?
It is a honest question?
-
You will not find alchohol in the Magic Kingdom. However, all of the other parks (not sure about the water parks) have alchohol served. Think of the World Showcase - every country has a beer or wine native to their region.
So yes, honest question, you can get alchohol in the parks - just not the Magic Kingdom.

A sincere thank you for answering that.
I thought maybe beer was acceptable. But I suspected Disney runs without that in the park.
-
Magic Kingdom is completely 'dry', no alcohol at all. Beer can be found at all the other parks.

Why would you want to drink at the happiest place on earth? Shouldn't being there bring you pleasure enough without having alcohol

I have to agree. I'm no prude by any measure, but I'm so pooped running around all day with my son that water and caffeine are my drink choices.

As far as why...
I see nothing wrong with adults aged 21 and up enjoying an alcoholic beverage responsibly in the parks (except MK which is dry...although technically DL is not...Club 33
). As a matter of fact, it's a big component of the Food and Wine Festival Epcot hosts every year. They hold wine and beer seminars and tasting to educate you. And, many of the table service restaurants have some good drinks that go well with dinner.
Do you need alcohol to enjoy WDW? Absolutely not. Does being there bring you pleasure without drinking? Sure does! Does having an adult beverage once in awhile while on vacation take away from the experience? Well speaking for my DH and I, it doesn't. Actually, it gives us a chance to drink various drinks we wouldn't normally give a second glance.

Wow, I see nothing wrong with it either. But I have been told that negatives, like alcoholic beverages are a negative and we shouldn't be discussing on a family site.I listed my one bad experience and if I discuss it again I get banned like the person who started this question. At least I know the rules, stay positive, don't say anything negative about your experience at WDW.

Really? Seems to be some fine print out there I missed, then.

I didn't see this post of yours, so I cannot really comment about it. I do personally know several of the moderators here, and do trust their judgment.

Then I missed it too, because I have mentioned both alcohol related topics (for example: see my booze homegenizing thread!
) here on DWT several times and have mentioned CM experiences good/bad here on DWT...

This doesn't relate but I found out that they don't even sell gum in the parks!

Looking at the history I believe that person was banned for threads unrelated to this one. I don't believe there are any rules about not mentioning alcohol on these forums simply because it is indeed part of Disney (as mentioned in the World Showcase and the food and wine festival etc.).

I think this has something to do with the desire to not have piles of it to clean up at night from people who just spit it on the ground. Gotta love it.

Yes, the Disney Snob is right.. lol. I've heard they don't sell it because it is too messy and time consuming for CM's to clean.
