What will you celebrate?
Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
As of right now, If you breathing you can work there. They are having job fairs every month. The problem is, it is hard to make it on disney starting salry in Orlando.
Only 15 minutes from the back gate of the most wonderful place on Earth!!!
Ditto Lil Magic..... but I think the biggest stumbling blocks to people getting hired are 1) not passing background checks and 2) not willing to change something about themselves to conform to the Disney Look.
When I went to Casting the first time, I was hired on the spot that day (well, *technically* was sent to an audition--character---, and when that bombed for me LOL was hired *that* day) That happens all the time.... however, not EVERYONE who walks through the doors at Casting walks out with a job. And, as someone said, the salaries at WDW make it hard to "live on". I am CR/PT, so I'm there for extra needed money, plus the BENEFITS are unbelievable. Of course, I could eeeeeasily go anywhere else and find a job making what I make at Disney, so obviously I'm at DISNEY because I love it.![]()

I'm fulltime, and if you budget your money and take advantage of extra shifts and whatnotn, you CAN live off of Disney Starting Salary! It all depends on what you wanna do. I too walked out with a job right from casting.
However, if you can make ends meet with your low starting wage, and if you REALLY love your job, the money doesn't matter that much to you. I personally love my job and would feel bad if they paid me more because a) its not that hard b) i'm basically having fun.
It's easy to get a job, but again, its how much you wanna make, etc.
If you have any specific questions feel free to message me or one of the other CMs here!

Nope. You can't go in costume on a nything and also you don't have enough break time normally to GO on anything.
Depends where you start, merchandise, attractions, entertainment, custodial, but all starting wages are between $7 and $9 an hour!

I did the program in Fall of '04 and when I was applying it was done through recruiters visiting schools. Now it has changed a bit and I believe you can only apply online. Following your application they schedule a phone interview with you at a later date. My advice is to know a bit about the company, keep a smile while speaking on the phone and be straight up with them. My application in '04 was my second as I was not hired my first time, which was to my advantage. It is not an extremely difficult program to get into as long as you carry yourself well. If you act timid or throw answers out before giving yourself time to think it can hurt you. Don't be afraid to think about your answer phrasing in the interview, they seem to like that you take time to give the best that you can offer. You can go to www.wdwcollegeprogram.com and find a lot more answers than what I can give you. It is a great program that helped me build greatly on who I am now. You have to remember it is a job, but it's probably one of the funnest jobs you could ever have. You're not going there for the money, it's for the experience and you also make the program what you remember. I hope you get in and have a great experience, and I hope to hear of your becoming an WDWCP Alumnist.
