    Question 2008 Vacation Packages

Anyone know at what point you can begin booking 2008 vacations via the WDW website? Looks like you can't chose dates outside 2007 now for reservations.

    Hello from a fellow Snob!

While I'm not 100% positive, the 2008 rates should be available w/ in the next 3-4 weeks. If you call Disney or a travel agent, they can hold your space w/ a room only reservation at a non guaranteed price. It can be converted to a package later.

    Hope this helps!!!

For anyone interested, here's the response I got from Disney concerning the 2008 Packages being available:

Cool, thanks. I am also trying to book a 2008 package myself. Hey, could you keep me posted if you find out anything.
Love Disney. I hope to go next spring with the whole family.

2008 package pricing should be out the first full week of August.

Let's continue to keep our fingers crossed that this is the case!

You're right. Disney planning can take that long. ( Isn't that the funnest part though?? ) You could always "set" your plans and tweak them if needed once the pricing is released. Dinner arrangements (like Hoop De Doo or the Luau) can always be rearranged.

Hang tight...it won't be too much longer!

There's no reason you can't do the planning now, and just book the package itself when packages become available. You don't need a resort reservation to book a dining or tour reservation, for example. You can link your phone number rather than your resort id. (Later once you book, if you use the same phone number, all your reservations will be linked together and you can get a printout of all your reservations from Guest Services)

Oh yes trust me all this I know... it's the resort I'm wanting to book. We aren't doing any tours (with a 2 year old in tow) and dining we usually decide on sort of last minute based on what sort of mood my son has been in. LOL!

It looks like they opened up the reservation system for 2008 today! I was just able to look at reservations at DL for March/April. I don't know yet if the packages are there or not and I'm not sure on WDW (because the site keeps dying on me when I try) but so far so good!
