strange animal kingdom picture

My family and I just got back from WDW 4 days ago. While we were at animal kingdom we saw many pictures of this indian looking couple. We saw like 10 pictures of them while waiting in line for Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest. Does anybody know who these people are? It was so strange because everywhere we looked there they were. I am just curious to know exactly who they are. If you can help me in anyway I would greatly appreciate it.

Well in the Maharajas Jungle Trek the back story includes a maharaja and his wife
