Hi and
I only spent around $400 in the malls when I went but I wasn't buying hard drives!!!
The discount malls are v.v. good and there are a lot of really great bargains.
I know I haven't helped much but just wanted to say hello!!!

The outlet malls near Disney are still pretty pricey. THe Florida Mall on Orange Blossom Trail is about 20-30 minutes from Disney and is average price for a mall. THat is your best bet near Disney. There is the Mall at Millennia but it is an upscale type of price and leisure mall.
There are a couple of stores that specialize in WDW overstock or discontinued merchandise i have a couple of pages about them on my site:
Mousefest 2006: A Return to WDW - Dec 12, 2006: Going home
Mousefest 2006: A Return to WDW - Dec 12, 2006:Going home
and theres a good page on them over at willcad.org with directions and maps:

I can't wait!!!

As far as discounts go, a lot of malls give a AAA discount. Prime Outlets is one of them, but there could also be one off stores in other malls that give it too. So if you are a member, don't forget your card!
Also, be on the lookout for mall/store coupon books at the brochure stands you will see almost everywhere off Disney property.

Eleven Visits Since 2003!!
^True but also be very wary of the Tourist traps that will high pressure you into a timeshare or something.
My ultimate fav outlet mall in the WDW area is the Buena Vista Mall on 535 & Buena Vista Pkwy. It's about 5 minues by car from DTD. They have Levi's, 3 or 4 shoe stores, a book store, and a Big Dogs...just for starters. I think I remember some athletic wear stores as well. There is also a Disney Store there that is hit or miss; typical for most outlet stores. I don't leave FL without going to this mall at least once. My family dubs it "Mom's Mall". The Millennium and Florida Malls are to rich for my blood.
Also check out the Walmart Stores in the area. They have tons of Disney clothing, towels and memorabilia.
I don't recall any computer stores in the outlet malls.
The Buena Vista Mall has a visitor center and they often have coupons good for shopping in the stores there. You usually have to spend big bucks to get anything off. Hope this helps you.
