^That doesn't sound quite right. When I worked at the Studios we celebrated the 1,000,000th guest in 1994 or 1995. That was 6 years after opening. Ten million guests in a single year is a little high. Also, Disney doesn't usually release individual attendance figures for their parks by policy, but may release overall figures.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see where your sources are...That is weird, I guess our event was just a staged event.

Yes, I didn't see that specific report but did a Google search and found several online. It still seems really odd. Although like Cinderella2 says when you are in line for a popular attraction it feels like all 10 million people are in line with you.

If you spread out daily attendance estimates equally to about 30,000 guests each day you get just over that amount, so its definitely accurate. Some days in the off season are as low as 12k, but around the holidays attendance can exceed 80,000 in a single day.

I didn't say it wasn't accurate, I said it was odd that they had a 1000000th guest celebration 6 years after the park opened. Maybe I misunderstood the number.
