What's tonga toast like? Is it served at the character breakfast at Chef Mickeys?

Tonga Toast is a form of French toast stuffed with bananas. I think it is only available at the Polynesian. It's really yummy! The recipe can be found here:

A variation of this is also served at Tusker House for breakfast when you go on the Sunrise Safari.

It is delicious!

I still prefer the one at the Kona Café! I think Tony's Town Square used to have a version that was quite different (cream cheese or something) but I never sampled that.

Yes.

It is actually quite worthwhile. I have not been on Killimanjaro Safari since we did the Sunrise Safari. It's just not the same.

On the SS, you get to see the animals when they are getting fed and they are very active. Plus, we had a lot of time during the drive through, with many animals coming right up to our vehicle.

The breakfast is fabulous. I just wish we'd had more time. There was a pin event the same day, so we had to eat and run.

Breakfast - the most important meal of the day......

Mickey Waffles
Breakfast Lasagna at Crystal Palace
Omelets with everything via room service
Beignets at Port Orleans
Pastries from the bakery on Main Street USA

Now I'm getting really hungry!

Boatwright's at PO-Riverside also has a version of it.

At Boatwrights:
Banana-stuffed French Toast - Banana-stuffed Texas toast, strawberry banana sauce and choice of bacon, sausage, or ham $7.99

At Kona Cafe:
Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar with choice of ham, bacon, or sausage $8.59

I've never tried the Boatwright's version, but it sounds good too!
