Epcot "Living Statues"

I have seen several conflicting reports regarding the "Living Statues" in EPCOT. Are there still moving statues around France and Italy in the World Showcase?

Nope. Sorry, they've been gone since at least 2006. :-( France now has an acrobatic waiter (no, seriously) who performs a routine with stacked chairs. Italy has the World Showcase players (who also perform in the UK Pavilion) and a mime juggler.

You know, I was wondering the same thing. They had been gone, but I saw a statue in the Samantha Brown special Friday night. So maybe they have returned recently?

I saw them in the special too. I think it's far more likely that they've been taping bits and pieces of what became that special for several years now.

The footage taped for the special was all done recently within the last year... they may have brought the living statue back just for the shot in the show.
