Absolutely not..Its all topline. We stayed in Martinque in January and the rooms grounds etc was very clean and staff top notch!!
You night want to ask when you arrive to stay in Martinque because its the first stop and you don't have to wory about a full bus. Its also a very short walk to the food court.

3 of the 6 buildings in Martinique are "preferred location" buildings that must be reserved and paid extra for.
Martinique is only the first bus stop for buses going to Magic Kingdom and to Downtown Disney. Buses to all other parks start at Jamaica, making Martinique the 4th stop.

same with Barbados, but i'm a tad biased having lived in Barbados for a summer. Anyway, this is the one resort my family would always return to. We love the atmosphere and it is pretty quite. The rooms are fine too.

On my most recent trip, we had a problem with foul-smelling rooms. We tried multiple rooms and all of them smelled like they had been smoked in and then closed up for a year. The smell was very musty and very strong, and after the second or third try we just asked to be moved to a different resort.

I've stayed in the Carribean and not sure what you mean by a bug "problem" but it's in Florida so it's tough to avoid bugs. We had some bugs but just a few here and there. I always tell my kids keep you luggage closed when you are not
using it because I don't want to bring any hitchikers home.

BeastlyKingdom:
I included a link to another thread about this resort. It has lots of responses, including 2 very lengthy ones from me
Enjoy your trip! Caribbean Beach is certainly a place where Sr. Week folk could have a very good time. It is such a bright and cheerful place. BTW, we hever had bug problems, but there is a small gator who lives in the lake. He sometimes hangs out under the Old Port Royale bridge.
Read that thread below, because there are some very specific answers and information that directly relate to your questions.

Good luck!

Stayed there once and never had any problems with bugs, dirt, smells or mold very nice rooms and well kept, typical of all Disney resorts. It is a very big resort and has its own bus route around the grounds but still not a problem. Enjoy your Sr. trip and have fun.
