    Question Anniversary

I'm sure this is posted elsewhere so I'm sorry if I'm duplicating (just post a link to the thread if you have one).

I have a close friend here at work who is just about as much of a Disney freak as we all are. She got married at the world and is planning to go back for her anniversary this year. She's wondering if there are any specific things being done as part of the "What Are You Celebrating?" promotion for those celebrating an anniversary. Anything out of the ordinary stuff that they always do of course.

Any info will be passed onto her via me so feel free to help a gal out!

Wow no responses on this one yet huh... I expected to come in this morning to find like 10 responses all pointing to other threads where I could've found my answer. LOL!

The only thing they are offering in the way of "free" is for your birthday - nothing for any other type of celebration.

but there are other offers that are available. Check this page out.

Am I the only one who thinks that makes no sense? I mean why have a "What will you Celebrate?" promotion but only truly acknowledge those with birthdays.

Really, what if you are celebrating a graduation?

I wouldn't quite go that far...they could have simply not given anything away for free at ALL...they wanted to do something, but they wanted to limit it. Otherwise it gets into a great big mess...if they did something for Anniversaries, what about Graduations? And if for Graduations, what about Engagements? etc.

How do you prove your anniversary date? Graduation date? etc.

What if I didn't graduate? Didn't get married? I don't get to celebrate as much as others because if it?

A birthday is something everyone has. No discrimination.

They ARE doing things for other occasions - they just aren't free. The park admission (or alternatives) are for birthdays only.

I'm not saying something free. Just something out of the ordinary. To truly only do something new and special for those with birthdays should've made the promotion "When Is Your Birthday" and not "What Are You Celebrating?"

Just my two cents. Seems the promotion and what's being done for "celebrations" don't really go together. Nothing promotional about anything they're doing other than birthdays.

Well, they did add a number of things that can be done, on the page I linked to - and there is stuff for birthdays, graduations, etc. etc. They announced it when they announced the promotion. Its the Free Birthday stuff that is getting all the press though.

Oh yeah I mean I know there are a couple "new" experiences like a special romantic dinner etc. I dunno though, I guess to me it just doesn't seem like it's as focused. I mean, you can get a special romantic meal anywhere on property if you call and arrange it first. Sure it's setup a little differently but ultimately it's not some sort of special thing. At least to me.

Oh yeah I should note... these are my honest thoughts on this and are not biased in anyway. I wasn't planning to go for my anniversary or my birthday or anything. Just really looking at it from the outside.
