    How big is the World Showcase?

    Just a quick question: who big around is the World Showcase? Isn't it a mile? Thanks for your help!

    I think its a mile, but I could be wrong. At least it felt like a mile when I walked it last march.

    The 'official' distance around the World Showcase promenade is approx. 1.2 miles, or 2 km.
    But, Jason should be along any time now to dispute that!

    Tracy, I wasn't being critical. I agree with Jason. I thought it was common knowledge that Jason disagrees with Disney over this particular piece of information.
    He's got a running feud with the Disney Archives because he disagrees with some of the information that's been disseminated as fact, with apparently nothing but their word to back it up.

    I had my GPS with me during the last trip to WDW, but we didn't walk around the entire showcase. Otherwise I could tell you within 8 to 16 feet the circumfrence of the showcase.

    I have no clue what the official distance would be... BUT I can say when I begin drinking at Mexico I'm pretty SH*T faced by the time I hit Canada!!!

    Well where to begin on this one...

    1.0 miles according to me and my walking around the WS with a GPS
    1.1 miles according to the 2000-2001 disneyworld.com website.
    1.2 miles according to the Disney Archives
    1.3 miles according to Disney Historian Jim Korkis.


    Any other questions on this?

    Are you referring to the drinks around the world? My pals & I are going down for a "girls trip" in April! We were talking about doing this... I'm not sure I'd make it past Italy!

    I love drinking around the world... I can throw them back with the best of them.... Then there's my BF... He's a light weight!! Maybe I can leave him in in Norway riding Malestorm in circles!! hahaha
