    Keys to the Kingdom Tour

    Hi All
As i'm going to WDW in may for Star Wars weekends. i thought i would take the Keys to the kingdom tour as well. But my question is what do you see as regards the utildors, I think you go down there but what do you see down there. Too quote a web site "No guests under 16 is allowed in the tunnel system because it would bother children, seeing two Goofys passing each other, Mickey without a head, seeing Minnie eating with Snow White, and ruin the magic." end quote. Now i am 33 years old and i don't reely what to see Mickey like that, So what is true please help.

I went last May and took the tour. They show you a short video and you see a portion of the utilidors. I think we were down there about 20-30 minutes. They showed us a video. It was interesting to walk back stage.

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour

I took the tour two years ago. We went down in the utiladors and looked around a bit and then we were shown a video showing their laundry department area and their DACS room where they keep all the sound clips for the attractions and stuff.

I would like to note that while we were down in the utiladors we did happen to see two Sleeping Beauties, one going on break and the other one heading back out to take her place. While it may not happen on your particular tour, I'd say there is still a chance that you could see two of the same character together or something like a headless Mickey just based on what we saw when we were down there.

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour

I went on the tour last september, its quite a trivia based tour but also has some spoilers. We went down the utilidors for about 30 mins. The tour leaders obviously dont know exactly when characters will come out or be walking around so its kinda luck of the draw whether u will see CM half in costume or not.

We saw Jessie and Woody without their heads just behind Splash Mountain. But apart from them we hardly ever saw another CM. Unfortunately for you there's always going to be a chance of seeing ur favouritecharacter like this.

If you don't want to see characters "un-normal", I wouldn't recommend taking the tour. There is a good chance of seeing characters half-dressed, more then one of a character, ect.

Re: Keys to the Kingdom Tour

I took the tour about a year ago when we went backstage first thing we saw was Woody and Jesse with their heads off.

I took the tour literaly weeks after I turned 16 and it didn't bother me see that, if anything I have much much more respect for those men and women. I like the utilidors I thought it was neat to see the things hanging on the wall and seeing how thing work ( but I enjoy figuring out how thing work so...)

Thanks for your quick answers. I suppose its does not matter seeing the charactors like that because really we all know the truth behind it all. But i'm still surprised that they let you still see it. However saying that you are backstage. I'm going to book the tour thanks again

I took this tour last year as well. The thing I found most interesting was when one of the people in the tour group asked how many Mickeys were out "on-stage" in WDW at a given time. Our tour guide suddenly got very serious and with a firm voice said- "There is only ONE Mickey Mouse".

That is correct. 1 Mickey, 1 Cinderella, 2 Chips.

This begs to be asked. How many guys dress as girl characters and girls as guy characters? I mean under a costume with a head, of course.
Walt is the man, Mickey is the mouse but Minnie is THE WOMAN
